Everyone’s favourite shoot for 1 year old birthdays are our Cake smash shoots. So I thought id give parents and carers a good few tips to prepare.
Prepare the baby: Let your little one try some cake before the shoot so they are comfortable with the taste and texture. Also try feeding them some on your finger during the shoot to encourage them to play with it.
Bring a toy your baby likes so that they have something familiar to play with and can be calming.
Choose a time when your baby is well rested and in a good mood.
Choose a soft moist cake with buttercream icing so it is easy for your little one to get stuck in.
Bring a change of clothes.
Be patient this is very new for your baby.
Not all children will smash the cake but don’t worry we will get lovely pictures anyway.
